In 1992 WTKF 107.3 FM hit the airwaves as North Carolinas FIRST "FM" Talk Station. That's right the First FM talk station in the state of North Carolina. Ten years after signing on, we expanded our programming to Jacksonville via simulcast on WJNC 1240 AM
On January 22nd 2008, at 3 PM 107.3 FM went dark and 107.1 FM became the new home of the Talk Station
On September 27th 2011, after nearly 20 years, The Talk Station studio moved from 5447 Hwy 70 in Wildwood to their new/current location at 4206 Bridges street extension, Morehead City NC

The TALK STATION Studios are located about 1.5 miles east of the Hwy 70 and Hwy 24 junction and just east of Friendly Road on the Bridges street extension in Morehead City
FROM RALEIGH, NEW BERN, GREENVILLE: Drive US 70 East to Morehead City to the Hwy 24 and 70 Junction. Turn left at the intersection of NC 24 and US 70 onto Bridges street Extension , travel for approximately 1.5 mils. 1 mile pass the stop lights at Country Club road you will see a two story red brick building on the left hand side, with a large satellite dish in the front of the building. +++
FROM JACKSONVILLE : Drive Hwy 24 East to Morehead City. At the intersection of NC 24 and US 70 - continue straight on Bridges street Extension for approximately 1.5 mils. 1 mile pass the stop lights at Country Club road you will see a two story red brick building on the left hand side, with a large satellite dish in the front of the building. +++
FROM BEAUFORT AND POINTS EAST : Drive US 70 West to Morehead City - continue Hwy 70 / Arendell Street to Friendly Road, just past the Golden Coral Restaurant. Turn right a the Friendly Road light and cross the railroad tracks to the Friendly road and Bridges street extension lights. Turn left on to Bridges Street Extension, and the station can be seen about 1/10th of a mile. You will see a two story red brick building on the right hand side, with a large satellite dish in the front of the building. +++
+++ The Talk Station Studio is located on the second Floor (suite B) above the offices of the Carteret County News Times . Take the stares on Elevator to the 2nd floor, enter through the gray double doors and enter to the left into The Talk Station studios.
